A 17-year-old third-year student from Ichimura High School, who has been involved since their first year, shared:
“Through this learning process, I came to believe that even if my power is small, there is something I can do. I want to help create a world where many people can smile and live in peace.”
The teacher in charge, Itaru Matsuno (45), commented:
“It is not only important to learn about support, but to take action. I hope this project, taking place 80 years after the war, becomes an opportunity to build a fortress of peace within our hearts.
Back in 2018, we met the enthusiastic teacher of Ichimura High School, Mr. Matsuno, for the first time. He was thankfully introduced to us by the Embassy of Japan in Jordan during his first visit to Amman.
By December 2018, we were invited to their in-person event in Nagoya to promote the refugee-support concept and the sales of our Tribalogy products. In that occasion, we had the chance to meet all the wonderful students of Ichimura High School.
Since then, even throughout the pandemic, we have been regularly holding online discussions to brainstorm about what we could do in our daily lives to support those in need.
Today, for the second time, we met with the students again in Nagoya for more in-person discussions.
We really love the fact that Ichimura Highschool adopted this topic as an educational tool to let the students think and come up with their own questions and actions.
This time we also had the chance to meet with the representatives of the Board of Education for Aichi Prefecture and the committees of UNESCO School.
It was such an honor to get to know all of them and it is always so inspiring and revitalizing to be a part of their positive journey.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made it possible to create such a valuable occasion and connection. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🥰
We really hope we can continue to spread this positive collaboration throughout the world 🌎!!
